Conversations with the sun

Spring has just sprung, a fact that is very much in evidence on the Costa del Sol. Easter, as well as bringing to the towns of the region the sweet scent of incense as the sun goes down, is also here seen as the gateway to summer, and the time when we open up our beaches for business. A coastline which has made meticulous preparations to receive our long-standing visitors, keen to hold their first conversations with the sun, and enjoy the peace and quiet of a well-earned break from work against the backdrop of the Mediterranean.

The Costa del Sol has so much to offer at this time of year that even those of us who plan to carry on working will find the most attractive options here. And so in this edition we have included a detailed report on the developments seen in the region’s capital city in terms of congresses, conventions and meetings, thanks to a large extent to the cutting-edge Malaga Trade Fair and Congress Centre. In short, organising an event in Malaga offers countless benefits, but above all is a sure guarantee of success thanks to the way in which the city brings together so many unforgettable delights: its food and drink, the uniquely friendly attitude of its people, the beach, architectural sites and museums, with the gallery dedicated to Picasso standing out as the flagship.

Of course, there is no need to attend a convention if you want to visit Malaga, but one unmissable attraction during this season is undoubtedly a stroll through Benalmádena’s Parque de la Paloma. That it is one of the ideas we present in this issue, but there are hundreds of spots tucked away along the coastline and inland throughout the whole province, such as Ronda, Antequera and the villages of the Axarquía.
