Antequera is itself a living
monument, a ‘City of Art’, home to the
richest artistic and architectural legacy
anywhere in the province of Malaga.
Here we present just a few of the town’s
unmissable sights. MOORISH CASTLE Walled fortification with the ancient Moorish medina and two separate areas: the Castle itself and the Town Gate. The most significant tower is the Homage Tower, offering panoramic views over the surrounding plains. The vase of lilies on the keystone and the castle and lion on the cornice above make up the municipal crest.
